A Legacy of Doing Good. A Commitment to Doing Better.

Crest and Oral-B believe everyone deserves great oral health. In fact, their mission is to make it a reality for everyone in America. That’s why they have been working for over 60 years to support healthy oral care habits.

But bringing healthy smiles to all takes going a little further and giving a little extra to make a real difference. That’s why they’re working with dental professionals and charitable organizations across the country to provide better access to dental care, healthy habit education, and the best oral care products. Each year, they work with more than 400,000 dental professionals to provide tools and resources for healthier smiles. In 2020, Crest and Oral-B donated more than $2.5 million in products and care to spread healthy smiles across the U.S.

Now, as part of the P&G Good Everyday community, Crest and Oral-B won’t just continue to do good they'll do better. Crest and Oral-B are Going the Extra Smile to bring healthy smiles to everyone.

Imagine a World Without Dental Hygiene

Tooth decay is already the #1 chronic disease in America—impacting 9 in 10 people. Not only can it greatly exacerbate underlying, chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and even arthritis—but it can impact our children and grandchildren, too.

Tooth decay is one of the most common chronic diseases kids face in the United States. Untreated tooth decay may lead to problems with eating, speaking, playing, and learning. Children who have poor oral health often miss school more and receive lower grades than kids who don’t.

Just like you can tell a lot about a person from their smile, you can tell a lot about a neighborhood just by looking around. This is especially true in underserved communities. The average age for a first dental visit for Caucasian children is three years old, versus twelve years old for Black children. With 1/3 of Americans going without access to health insurance, this is more than just a problem—it’s a public health crisis.

Crest and Oral-B are on a mission to ensure that every single smile in America is a healthy one—by focusing more time and care in our underserved communities. Over the past year, Crest and Oral-B have donated over $2 million dollars to build up those communities, and have gifted 100,000 toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes to their residents.

Our Path Forward to Keep Smiles Healthy

Crest and Oral-B are well on their way to progressing toward the goal of healthier smiles for people and the planet–with their sights set on three key areas:

  • Access to oral care products and services for everyone.
  • Resources and education on proper oral care habits, and how oral care impacts overall health.
  • Superior products and solutions to help all people have better oral care outcomes, while also reducing impact on the environment.
